This work was among my first finished illustrations of a series of futuristic images I would go on to produce. It is also among my first illustrations depicting interstellar travel. In the piece called âThe Slot,â three small patrol craft fly through an icy canyon of a small, cold and desolate moon orbiting a planet somewhere within our galaxy.
